Any orders placed by telephone, email or in person, are subject to our standard terms and conditions applicable to such ordering methods (not the terms set out below).
J. Wippell & Co. Ltd reserve the right to change the terms and conditions in line with the business. Such changes will not affect any order already placed.

The company will provide imagery of the graduating robes for each university and qualification. Whilst we have taken practical steps to illustrate products as precisely as possible through the photographs, the detailing including colour, texture etc on the site will depend on your screen settings and, may not exactly reflect the true detailing of a product.
In order to issue the correct product sizing J. Wippell & Co. Ltd will require accurate measurements from you to allocate the size you will require. If there are special requirements needed for any of the garments, please contact us to discuss or highlight this in the order.
Ordering and Availability
J. Wippell & Co. Ltd will list all institutions that the company serve as the official suppliers/robemakers
Garments may be ordered on the site by following the prompts that appear on-screen.
During the ordering process you will have the ability to check and amend your order up to and including the order confirmation page. On selecting the ‘pay now’ button you will confirming that your order details are correct and agreeing to our terms and conditions. After placing an order, you will receive an email order confirmation from us acknowledging that we have received your order.
The order confirmation confirms acceptance of your order.
Amendments to Orders
If you need to amend your order (for example, changing garments details, ceremony dates/times or other personal details), you should contact us as soon as possible, and we will do our upmost to help you.
All garments, including purchases, will be delivered to the institution and available to collect on the day of your graduation. Please note products ordered on this website will not be delivered to your personal/home address.
Price and Payment
Prices are as quoted on the website and available to view during the ordering process. In ordering via our website, you agree to pay J. Wippell & co. Ltd the total sum stated. The hire fee does not include a deposit.
Prices include VAT. There is no delivery cost for hired or purchased items delivered to the graduation venue for collection.
Payment must be made to confirm your order. This website uses payment gateway Worldpay which accepts all credit or debit cards via its checkout process.
Online payments are subject to validation checks by your card issuer, we will not be responsible if your card issuer declines the authorisation of payment for any reason.
Where payment is authorised, your credit or debit card will be charged as soon as you complete the checkout process.
Garments will be ready for collection on the date of your ceremony from the robing collection area, as specified by your institution/place of study.
Your garments (robes) are allocated and ready for collection 2 – 2.5 hours before your ceremony time (unless otherwise stated). The robes will be pinned with your order information. This is checked with you on arrival and the collection ticket removed.
During the hire period, you are responsible for the safekeeping of the robes.
We would advise that mortboards are not thrown in the air, any damage caused by such action is your responsibility.
Hired robes should be returned on the date of your ceremony to the robing returns area as specified by your university or college. Extended hire requests should be made in writing to email@example.com/ and an extended hire agreement will be provided. Hired robes with consented extension hire must be returned to us. You are responsible for the postage cost and you must obtain certification of proof of postage along with insurance for items up to a value of £600.
All hired garments (robes) must not be taken out of the UK.
Unarranged late/overdue returns could incur a penalty charge.
Non returned garments or garments lost or damaged whilst in your possession shall be liable for the full retail price (less hire cost) which will be payable to J. Wippell & Co. Ltd.
Cancellations and Refunds
You may cancel your order up to 30 days after your graduation ceremony for garments not collected. No administration fee will be charged. Cancellations in this time period are subject to a full refund in accordance with our Refunds policy.

We are committed to providing high-quality graduation robes to all our customers. If you are unhappy with the product or service please do let us, your feedback helps us to improve our service. If you have a complaint, please complete our contact form. We aim to respond to complaints within 1 working day.
The organisation is not liable to you for any loss suffered arising out of your use of the facility. You release J. Wippell & Co. Ltd from any claim made against us arising out of, in connection with or caused by your use of the facility.
You indemnify the organisation from and against all claims, demands, actions, costs and expenses arising out of, in connection with or caused by your use of the facility.
